A vixen, "a spiteful or quarrelsome woman", in fact represents a new empowering figure for me. Shes not necessarily evil, but she is bad. She contains a raw power and strength, that in lesser hands would self consume. This dangerous power and ability to command others is not just an attractive quality but an admirable one. Their beauty is their strength, their power and their tool for destruction. While Tim Burton's cat woman may be a clear and evident role of a vixen in cinema, she doesn't quite fit all roles the vixen I have set in my head. Yes, she has destructive qualities, but somehow she ends up on top at the end of the day. Absolutely the vixen I'm self fixated on never has to say the lines that have tritely stuck with me since I was eight or nine "I would love to live with you in your castle... forever, just like in a fairy tale... I just couldn't live with myself..." (what does this say about me at nine?) Overall this post is more about the danger, the confidence, and the winner. Tragedy and epic turmoil combined with this strength and darkened sensuality is quite a powerful idea nay feeling. I think that throughout all of these images I get the impulse to bring out the inner vixen within. Resulting image at the end.

Jeffree Star is a vixen no doubt. |
The outfit above was constructed while having feelings of rebellion, and confidence. While not exactly stand offish in picture, at the time it felt like something that could be misunderstood by most. I combated the danger of being misconstrued with an inner confidence-something that at the end of the day is crucial in feeling comfortable and strong in ones own skin. Below I had a little photo fun with my friend as I beckoned the inner vixen out of her. Next time you plan an outfit for a night out, consider bringing your inner vixen to your outfit, at the very least a bit of danger whether in the lips, heels, or attitude.
